Clear Morning at the Setubal Docks

I have been painting a lot last week. The weather has been unexpectedly good for the time of year. I even had to open my umbrella once! The sun was so hot! It was at the Setubal docks, where I did this painting. What a place! I think it is going to be one of my favorite locations to paint. So much color and light, fresh air from the ocean and the seagulls! I love seagulls!

Peonies

I painted this scene from life in our living room. It was a very enjoyable painting session even though the lighting conditions were a bit challenging. Gouache on strathmore grey paper for mixed media. Approx. 9x8 in. The only source of light was a warm light table lamp. I had to use my small portable led lights to illuminate the painting because any additional source of light would have affected the lighting of the scene.
